At CPS Group we believe we have a moral obligation to return something to the communities we work in. In an ongoing effort to achieve this, we have established the following:
Apprenticeships " ...our future"
In Cambodia we have funded and developed an extensive apprenticeship program in plumbing. Apprentices make up about 20% of our trade employees and most are selected from the local area.
Our apprentices spend one day per week at the training facility where qualified trainers provide theory and practical knowledge and are then rotated throughout the company to ensure maximum exposure to different aspects of the trade. By the end of their apprenticeship, apprentices are qualified to manage their work, and be ready to take up extra training for promotion within the company.
Training
Training, whether it be on the job, in-house or through external courses, is fundamental to the achievement of the CPS mission. CPS aims to:
